Department Function
The Hamilton County Treasurer is responsible for collecting real estate, personal property, motor vehicle taxes, special assessment and other miscellaneous taxes. The Treasurer then distrubutes the collected taxes to the local taxing units.
The Treasurer serves as a bank for all of the County departments that generate revenue.
The Treasurer also serves as an agent for State of Kansas for registering and titling motor vechicles and renewing driver's license.
